Our Swiss Business + GreenBuzz Bern + Impact Hub Bern organized the event „More fulfilled women and happy dads? Yes, we can!“ in Impact Hub Bern last 4. of May with the experts Regula Bühlmann – Political Secretary at the Swiss Trade Union Confederation and President of the Parliament of the City of Bern, Mirjam Della Betta – Psychologist and Psychotherapist, Counsellor at a victim consultation center and for an International provider of Employee Assistance Programm, Pascal Spycher – Responsible for Human Resources at RBS and part-time dad at home.
“Gender inequality persists worldwide, depriving women and girls of their basic rights and opportunities. Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls will require more vigorous efforts, including legal frameworks, to counter deeply rooted gender-based discrimination that often results from patriarchal attitudes and related social norms.” (United Nations, Progress of SDG #5 in 2017)
According to the WEF Global gender gap report 2017, Switzerland fell from 11th to 21st place in the world rank in only one year. This workshop was a call to the civil society to identify and implement concrete solutions and take part in the “vigorous efforts” for a more equal Switzerland.
