Phenomenal Women Global: Female Leaders Rising above COVID-19

Domestic and gender-based violence, financial dependence and work-life disequilibrium are only a few of many pandemic-related issues that girls and women face. It is a moment when female empowerment is like never before on demand. Women worldwide consolidate in order to support each other, share knowledge and develop constructive solutions.

On the 19th and 20th November, 2020 Phenomenal Women Global together with HRCU and Defend Defenders organizes a third Women Human Rights Defenders Conference (online) that will roll under the motto: “Women Rising Above COVID-19: Paving The Path Ahead.” Pannel discussions will be held around such topics as: female personal and digital security during Covid-19, women’s mental health during the pandemic, financial independence and female leadership.

“Phenomenal Women Global” aims to empower and advance women professionally, personally, mentally and spiritually. The initiative started as an informal talk about female support and resulted in the creation of the international non-profit organization based in Europe and Africa. Liza Brenda Sekaggya was born in Uganda, lives in Geneva and has a legal professional background. She manages Swiss section of “Phenomenal Women Global”.

Conferences is not the only format that  Phenomenal Women offers to its female audience. Power-talks is another option that is very suitable for the quarantine situation: auditorium can benefit from the free online access to the high concentration of knowledge delivered by female leaders and role-models. Interactive panels enable women (and men supportive of gender balance) to engage into in-depth discussions with female experts in the fields of law and social justice, politics, education, health, business and finance.

There is also a possibility to get coached on how to become a leader. To immerse in-depth into empowerment training women can join one of the available trainings tailor-made for the needs of specific audience. “Phenomenal Women” also sustains community outreaches and partnerships.
